So, it's been a solid year since I've made any significant investments in my computer (mind you, that was a tablet laptop, but I haven't really invested specifically in the computer since then.) And while I am generally very happy with the system, I was recently motivated to consider an option when I got to take a look at my cousin Jay's new 24 inch iMac. Wow! What a beauty! So, after two days of debating I decided to spring for a new monitor on my primary home computer. Understand that back in Wisconsin I used to have three monitors connected to my computer: a 19 inch 16:9 monitor (at a resolution of 1440x900) sandwiched between two 20 inch 4:3 monitors (at a resolution of 1280x1024.) That is a lot of screen realestate! Well, since I have been back out East I have been using the 19 inch widescreen monitor on my laptop from time to time down by the window off of my bathroom. It is a nice place to sit and write (or geek) and look out over the Delaware river.
Now, as of this weekend, my primary computer is back to three monitors! I still have to two 20 inchers... but now, in between them sits a beautiful Dell 24 inch widescreen monitor with a resolution of 1920x1200... I am in love again. Me and my monitor and getting engaged!!!
Look at that crazy thing! It is taller than the 20 inch monitors and at least a third wider. Those diagonal 4 extra inches sure do add up!
